Refund before work begins. One cut-off, plainly drawn.
The Founding Vault Ceremony is a one-time, manually delivered beta session. You may take a full refund any time before the ceremony begins. The single moment it begins — Ceremony Commencement — is defined, logged, and the same in every document. This Policy is incorporated into the Terms and controls on any refund conflict.
What this covers
This Refund & Cancellation Policy (this “Policy”) governs the one-time Founding Vault Ceremony (US $499) and the Heir Fire Drill (US $99), each purchased through a Stripe Payment Link from TechBantu IT Solutions, LLC(the “Operator,” “we”). Defined terms:
- Fit-Check. A no-commitment, disposable walkthrough using test data only — it creates no durable Vault, no real shards, and no inheritance arrangement.
- Ceremony Commencement. The discrete, logged moment defined in §3 at which founder-guided creation of your real cryptographic artifact begins, after your express Consent to Begin.
- Digital Service. The founder-guided, manually delivered session — the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium.
A beta session — and what money cannot buy back
The session is a manually delivered beta. It is not production custody, a will, a trust, an estate plan, or legal, tax, financial, or investment advice, and it does not guarantee that anything is released to any heir.
Blind-server limit. Our systems never receive your plaintext, keys, a threshold set of shards, or any unseal-sufficient material. We can refund money; we cannot reconstruct, recover, or reproduce content, keys, or shards we never held — that is architecturally impossible, and this Policy governs refunds of money only.
Before Ceremony Commencement
Before any real artifact is created you receive a Fit-Check. If, before Ceremony Commencement, you decide the session is not for you — for any reason or no reason — you are entitled to a full refund. Email mail@sealedaion.com before Commencement; we refund to your original payment method within ten (10) business days of your request.
The Fit-Check produces no durable artifact. If you walk away during it, no Vault, shard, or inheritance condition exists, and nothing about you is retained beyond what is needed to process your refund.
When the ceremony begins
Performance does not begin, and Ceremony Commencement does not occur, until both: (a) you complete or expressly decline the Fit-Check; and (b) you check a box and confirm the Consent to Begin, whose canonical, versioned text is:
“I REQUEST THAT TECHBANTU IT SOLUTIONS, LLCBEGIN THE FOUNDER-GUIDED FOUNDING VAULT CEREMONY NOW. I UNDERSTAND THIS STARTS A DIGITAL SERVICE, THAT THE FIT-CHECK WINDOW FOR A FULL AUTOMATIC REFUND CLOSES ONCE IT BEGINS, AND — TO THE EXTENT THE EU/UK 14-DAY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL WOULD OTHERWISE APPLY — I EXPRESSLY CONSENT TO PERFORMANCE BEGINNING NOW AND ACKNOWLEDGE I LOSE THAT RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL ONCE THE SERVICE IS FULLY PERFORMED. I UNDERSTAND AION IS A PRE-AUDIT PROTOTYPE WHOSE CRYPTOGRAPHY HAS NOT COMPLETED A FORMAL SECURITY AUDIT, THAT THIS IS A GUIDED BETA AND NOT PRODUCTION CUSTODY, AND THAT I AM BRINGING A LOW-RISK OR THROWAWAY ARTIFACT — NOT AN IRREPLACEABLE SECRET SUCH AS THE ONLY COPY OF A SEED PHRASE.”
Your Consent to Begin is timestamped and logged with the version of this Policy and the consent text shown. That log is the controlling record of Commencement. You are not required to consent; if you do not, the ceremony does not start and §3 governs (full refund available).
Manual, discretionary, and never more than performed
Once Commencement occurs, performance of the Digital Service has begun. Because the session is founder-delivered and consumed as it is performed, fees are not automatically refundable. We do notclaim the service is “fully performed” before it is: if you cancel partway, we will refund the portion not yet performed and may retain only the value of work actually delivered to that point.
We may also grant a full or partial refund in our discretion — for example where we failed to deliver a material part of the session, or where law requires it. To request one, email mail@sealedaion.com within thirty (30) days of Commencement; we respond within ten (10) business days. The free local tools carry no charge and therefore no refund.
Right of withdrawal, and its lawful waiver
If you are an EU or UK consumer you ordinarily have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for a service without reason. The Ceremony is a service, so the governing rule is the service provision — EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(a) and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 Regulation 36 — and not the digital-content rule (Art. 16(m) / Reg. 37). By giving the Consent to Begin (§4) you expressly request that performance start within the 14-day period and acknowledge that your right to withdraw ends only when the service is fully performed.
Withdraw before Consent to Begin and §3 gives a full refund. Withdraw after Consent to Begin but before full performance and you remain entitled to withdraw: you pay only a pro-rata amount for what was actually supplied to that point (EU Art. 14(3) / UK Reg. 36(4)), and the balance is refunded. We confirm your Consent to Begin on a durable medium (EU Art. 8(7)–(8)).
California & FTC
Nothing here limits a non-waivable right under California law, including the Consumer Legal Remedies Act. Consistent with FTC mail, internet, and telephone-order norms, we process every refund owed under this Policy to your original payment method within the timeframes stated, and condition a §3 refund on nothing but your timely request. If you dispute a charge with your card issuer rather than contacting us, we will respond with the logged Fit-Check and Consent-to-Begin records evidencing the status of performance.

THE SESSION IS PROVIDED AS A BETA ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AND EXCEPT AS REQUIRED BY NON-WAIVABLE CONSUMER LAW, TECHBANTU IT SOLUTIONS, LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT ANY ASSET, CREDENTIAL, OR INSTRUCTION WILL BE PRESERVED, RECOVERED, OR RELEASED TO ANY HEIR.
BECAUSE OF THE BLIND-SERVER ARCHITECTURE, WE CANNOT AND DO NOT GUARANTEE RECOVERY OF ANY PLAINTEXT, KEY, OR SHARD, AND HAVE NO ABILITY TO PRODUCE OR RESTORE MATERIAL WE NEVER HELD.
Before paying, you acknowledge that AION is a pre-audit prototype: its cryptography has not yet completed a formal third-party security audit, and the Founding Vault Ceremony is a guided beta, not production custody. You are asked to bring a low-risk or throwaway artifact, not an irreplaceable secret such as the only copy of a seed phrase.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
